BWC successfully designed, manufactured, tested and installed a new 200kVA mains distribution unit (MDU) for East Coker, forming part of a wider scheme to improve water quality within the River Yeo catchment.
The unit will provide reliable power to critical water infrastructure, helping the site operate safely and efficiently while supporting long-term improvements across the water network.
This project marks the 10th mains distribution unit BWC has successfully manufactured and installed during 2026 as part of Wessex Water’s significant AMP8 investment programme.
By designing, manufacturing and testing equipment off-site, our team can maintain greater control over quality while helping to reduce installation time and disruption once equipment reaches site.
The East Coker project is another example of BWC’s ongoing work across the water sector, delivering reliable MEICA solutions that contribute towards smarter, more resilient infrastructure for communities and the environment.
