Shoscombe Project: From Concept to Completion
We’re incredibly proud to have supported the delivery of this major infrastructure project for Wessex Water YTL in Shoscombe, which will help improve water quality and increase storm storage to reduce environmental spills into the Wellow Brook River in the Radstock Region.
From the initial concept in February 2024 right through to delivery in March 2025, BWC has been involved every step of the way, supplying:
🔹 Design and build of a 6.8 metre long control panel
🔹 Custom steel frame infrastructure
🔹 Full scaffolding design and install
🔹 A 9-metre-long flat pack kiosk, constructed on site
🔹 All associated building services
Ordinarily, we would build everything off-site under a factory-built solution (FBS) however due to tight access restrictions, this wasn’t possible. With a width restriction of 2.5 metres , BWC rose to the challenge of offering a different solution, building the steel frame & kiosk in modular fashion constructed on-site!
This has been a collaborative, challenging, and highly rewarding project, demonstrating the very best in control engineering, bespoke fabrication, and water industry innovation.
A huge thanks to everyone involved — and best of luck to the internal YTL Construction Team as they take the next steps forward 👷♂️💪
